Any guess on what's in the case? I look at this thing (which is now in our garage and has not been played in years) and all I can hear is John Philip Sousa's, "Stars and Stripes Forever." I had a band teacher that couldn't get enough of that song. Oh, the bruises I got on my knees from lugging this awkward instrument off and on the bus and all around campus. And the memories of marching with it in parades. Marching french horns are designed differently than this one so as to actually make it possible to march and play at the same time. Our school wasn't quite so privileged which made my marching experiences very interesting. Actually, I think interesting is a safe enough way to sum up my whole french horn phase. Still love its sound..............when someone else is playing it.
