I love to play games. Whether I'm playing a game to laugh at myself or to challenge myself, I have a lot of fond memories of these times. This memory I'm especially fond of:
Ryan and I were on our second date. Our first date was a blind date, a story that needs to be told for sure, but let's just say that us ever getting together was nothing short of miraculous. So, second date. I didn't know this kid or his history or his family at all, but he had shown enough interest in me to call to go out again which required him to drive the six hours between our homes. Already my parents thought this had gone too far. Such happy memories! I knew I needed a plan to really get to know what this guy was all about so I suggested for our date we play a game. My first impression of Ryan was that he was super kind but just soooooo kicked back. Test one: I had to make sure he had a brain. I pulled out the best strategy game we had, one I had a lot of experience with and one he had never played before. Cruel, I know. But he creamed me! Beginners luck? We had to play again. And again. And again. Test One: Passed. He won every time. And............he even won a third date.
