HELLO, My name is Sister Razzle Dazzle
The youth at church call my husband and I Brother and Sister Razzle-Dazzle. I suppose I could be flattered by the Razzle-Dazzle part of this title, and while it always makes me smile, my favorite thing of all to hear is that "Sister" in front of it. I love being a "Sister" to such an incredible group of young men and young women. Now that's a flattering name. It doesn't make me feel old. There's not anything at all impersonal about it. In fact, it's more personal than anything. "Sister" reminds me of all that I have to live up to, of all the mighty women that have come before and that stand beside me now. "Sister" helps me remember my true identity, that I am a daughter of God surrounded by an amazing army of brothers and sisters who are all in this together. "Sister" is a name I cherish, a reminder I need, a title I love.
