so blessed. day twenty one

I have been blessed to have made it four and a half years without a single throw up clean up incident.  Until today.  In our car.  It was lovely.  Somehow I had discounted all the sleepless nights, diaper changes, feeding times.... throw up cleaner upper was what it took to make this whole mommy hood thing OFFICIAL for me.  And now I have arrived!  I am so sporting that feather in my cap.  I can call myself a mom.  The joys.

Click HERE for a picture of the damage.  Ha!  Just kidding.  Gross.  I must say, though, I was a little disappointed that there were no magical matronly powers that kicked in to make this particular job a bit more.... I don't know, beautiful maybe?  Nope.  I have lived to tell (nearly didn't!) there is nothing beautiful about it...........except for the part where it got me remembering about all those times when my parents cleaned up after me.  Today made all those moments quite. a bit. WAY. more. beautiful.  Too blessed.

Oh man......the throw up chronicles. I told the Lord I would be honored to be a mother...but not to those who threw up. We had a motto in our home that went like this.....he who throws up, cleans up. Thankfully the throw up experience was limited. You see if they threw up, usually so did their mother! La, la

Well earned badge of mother-honor! With 8 kids driving over St.Helena (before seat belts and actually sitting in the car!) we had the "domino" version...Seth always got us started!!! Oh the scent-s-ory memories!
