#18. I am grateful for Calories

The kids enjoy getting their workout video groove on while I do my best at not tripping all over them as I follow along.  We're learning how to make this whole calorie burning thing a family affair (Russell's idea with making the Trio into dumbbells...clever kid).  Which, yes, the quality family time is one reason I'm grateful for calories.   But really, mostly, because I have been blessed with calories to consume, calories stored (we're not talkin' cupboards here), and plenty of calories to spare.  Handcart carrying Pioneer women, I'm sure, counted calories in a whole different way than we do today; counted their lives on getting more of them.  And here we are, working hard at counting reps to be rid of the things....and some days (okay, a lot of days) I find myself murmuring at such a privilege.  Kind of pathetic, really.  Well no more murmuring here!  (ha!  we'll see how long I really last) :)

I LOVE the look in Rylee's eyes. And Russell's smile is contagious. Great picture and as for the calories... great food for thought!
