#10. "We are thankful for the windows"

Russell included this "thankful for" in his prayer this evening over dinner.  When it's his turn to say prayers it is common for him to leave one eye half open to survey the room just in case there is anything he missed to be grateful for.  We give lots of thanks for spoons and chairs and cups and napkins and ovens and sinks and alphabet magnets and refrigerators at our house.  These can be very lengthy prayers and I kind of don't know if or when I should interrupt or really where to go with these teaching moments.  I guess until I figure that out, I'll appreciate him teaching me.  Yes, Russell, I am thankful for the windows as well.  Anything that welcomes the light in makes my heart happy.  My favorite is when the sun is shining through just right and leaves a warm spot on the carpet...perfect place for us to park the pirate ship and soak up all these moments of how good it feels to be alive.

Windows and the light they bring.....love it! And Russell's prayers are perfect. I think children teach us so much in their prayers. They are so sincere. Great post!
