Figs, figs...what's not to dig?

A good friend of mine works for a company that is hosting an art and poetry contest in Sonoma county.  She paints and she knows I enjoy writing so we kinda have this artsy appreciation thing going on there.  Plus, when there are prizes involved I'm always game!  Only....I don't think I have what it takes this time.  All work submitted must be fig inspired.  I'm not feeling it.  To be quite frank, figs don't inspire me.  I'm still going for it though.  Figs, figs...what's not to dig?... Maybe I'll discover a part of myself that I never knew existed.  Maybe this is my opportunity to connect to and be influenced by my French roots.  (I've got some of those, right?)  Maybe I'd better go eat some figs and I'll catch the vision.  For anyone else interested in getting on board, here's the link.  There are great prizes at stake (steak, now THAT inspires me!) here!  Well....we'll let ya'll know how it all goes down.  What's there to lose, right?    http://girlfig.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/a-call-for-entries-from-the-girl.pdf
