It was a beautiful day at the beach today! These aren't quite like the beaches we are used to down South but wonderful in their own way... want to hear my favorite part? :)...besides the company, of course. This is a dear friend that I've been able to reconnect with since living here. We met in 5th grade. I love this girl! Anyway... I was a little skeptical of the rocky beach at first but fell in LOVE with the idea quickly... no sandy cleanup (major bonus!) and the kids couldn't travel as quickly in these heavy rocks as they used to be able to in packed sand which means less running after little ones...our picnic was sand free....we had no problems with throwing sand (of course, my wonderful children NEVER had a problem with that anyway :) )... and when the wind blew no sand in the eyes... A sandless beach is a fabulous thing! I'm totally sold!
