It's Raining, it's Pouring...

and the old man is even snoring!  Sorry Grandpa!  :)  Couldn't resist.  But here is a picture of what we do on a rainy day when Grandpa is working nights and sleeping in the day.  We play in the way back room and keep our voices to a minimum.  Ha ha...with a three year old and a one year old...  ha ha!

I have yet to discover where moms take their little ones around here to get some wiggles out, especially on a rainy day.  In our old town we used to frequent pet stores, libraries, ...even Costco samples around lunch time was a fun break.  :)  Up here it's an hour drive before we run into one of those old favorites.  So we've had to get a bit more creative.  I think the trickiest part is keeping Rylee out of Russell's puzzles and creations while still keeping her entertained and quiet.  The bed works well to keep their play places separate.  Anyway, any suggestions on fun and quiet activities are more, more, more than welcome.

Here we have Russell tallying the different colored passing cars (inspired by the movie UP, not his name, just the game)  Thanks Pixar.  And yes, the little boy's name in Up is Russell.  But that's WAY after Russell's time!
