A little too much chlorine

We have so been enjoying the weather and so been enjoying the lovely pool that we share in our complex. Well, not really share 'cause we seriously are the only ones ever there. That's why the mystery of the "leave in skimmer" baffled us...which one of our neighbors was as much into skipping balls across the water as us that they decided to share the fun with the whole complex and provide a "leave in" the pool "skimmer," and not only that but take the time to title the thing with permanent ink? We had to meet these people! But we're the only ones ever there. Certainly a mystery. It's pretty sad that it took us about a week of not leaving in the "leave in skimmer" and still having them reappear the next day to figure out that our "equally zealous about skimming balls over the water neighbor friend" doesn't really exist and we are certain to have one less friend, namely the guy that comes to clean out the pool and the pool skimmers (daily? another part of the mystery?). I'm sure our slowness has something to do with the chlorine.
