I think it's time for a toilet, Russell man

Russell seriously looks like a giant in these pictures...a giant with a giant diaper! We're in the biggest size and I'm not about to buy another $50.oo box from Costco. So when the diapers run out, this boy better get excited about the idea of a toilet! We welcome any and all potty training advice! :)

Give him some type of reward whenever he chooses (or listens to you when you try to get him to go on the toilet) to go to the bathroom in the toilet. Stickers, sticker chart, m&m's, skittles, whatever he would love the most. After he's at least trying to go on the toilet (even if he's not dry every time, give him a treat until he's mastered that), then move on to when he goes to the toilet AND is dry/not soiled in his diaper. Move him in to exciting big boy underwear and keep rewarding his good habits every time. After doing well in his underwear for a couple days, move to staying clean all day long and then giving him a reward for the day. After he's done well a few days, move on to two or three days...but by then he may be ok to go without a reward. If he's choosing to save his bowel movement for nap time, you could try keeping him naked (or with a shirt) during naps and that should motivate him to take it to the toilet (I actually put a toddler toilet in Kaleb's room while doing this step). Of course you may have a smart little whipper snapper on your hands and none of the big fuss will be necessary and he'll just be ready to move on to underwear (I wish one of mine had done that). :)

If he is already interested in going on the toilet, skip the first step and start at rewarding him when he's dry.

Good luck, and what I say to do may not work...it just worked for my boys.
